Pitcher's Mound Mix

The Mound Mix Most Widely Used by Professional Baseball!

Comes pulverized for easy handling -- just wet and compact -- for truly firm mounds. All natural ingredients available in red, orange, brown, or gray. Generally, 20-40 bags are sufficient to resurface a regulation mound; 5-10 bags for just wear areas. Dig wear areas down 6 inches. Blend half Pitcher's Mound Mix into bottom inch of existing mound to make a bonding layer, we and compact. Then apply straight 2 inches at a time, wetting and compacting each layer. If desired, cap entire mound with 2 inches again over a bonding layer.

Home Plate Mix

A Specially Formulated Mix for Batter's & Catcher's Boxes!

Not as hard as the pitcher's mound, yet firmer than base paths. Generally, 10-20 bags are sufficient for a 2 to 3 inch maintenance cover, or blend pitcher's mound mix into present batter's boxes to achieve desired degree of firmness.
